Didn't win. Oh well. I kind of thought we wouldn't when I arrived in the hall and saw we were seated nowhere near an aisle. Still, there was a free bar afterwards, so not a bad evening.

A busy week

Socially, at least. This week saw me heading out in the evening for four out of five evenings, and it must be said, very much obeying the law of diminishing returns. Simply put, I'm too old for all of this, and while the first evening was fine, the second, third and fourth saw me bail out and go home progressively earlier.

So, little in the way of putting stuff up. I have things in reserve, but they're all It's the cat's meow strips, and I'd prefer to mix thing up a little.

Meanwhile, let me doff my cap to Insomnia Radio, which has long been quietly plugged by me on the links section on the right. Recently they posted up an mp3 mix tape which pretty much never puts a foot wrong, as far as indie/alt rock goes. If you're interested, you can find it here
