In Retro Veritas

So I haven't kept up my other blog, In Retro Veritas (now deleted), in ages but recently I decided to work on something along the same lines - reminiscing about a childhood (and adulthood) of video games.

Tiny Manu #58

so anyways...

I went to an Asian shop to buy some food and the shop assistant asked me if I needed help. I asked about something from the freezer (dim sum) and then worked out I didn't have the proper utensils at home to cook it. Feeling stupid, and not wanting to have wasted a pretty girl's time, I picked the most innocuous thing: some waffles with red bean paste. They were nice, but at £4 for what was basically scotch pancakes and jam, a tad pricey

People say good manners cost nothing, but they were wrong in this case.

Life drawing #8

Didn't go to life drawing this week, because having got drenched once on the walk back from work, I decided a second soaking too was too much. Instead, this week, I've decided to highlight some of the rubbish I've come up with over the previous two months.

Life Drawing #7

I sat next to a very stinky man this week, which is why one of them is only ten minutes - I had to get up and "find a more interesting angle". The woman in the chair took twenty, and I'm quite pleased with it. Then I struggled with the five minute poses for the rest of the evening. One day I'll have to post up the worst of my sketches.

Life Drawing #6

Very hot in the hall this week, and certainly at first it had an effect on my drawing. For some reason I decided to skip shading entirely and just go with outlines. Then I saw that it was all out of proportion, but in a strangely pleasing way.
